SpaceXAI launched Grok Bot in beta, bringing coordinated AI agents into office work after SpaceX agreed a $60B deal for Cursor parent Anysphere.

Grok Bot Launch
SpaceXAI released Grok Bot on Aug. 11, according to Bloomberg, with groups of agents running on their own machines and handing tasks back only when human decisions are required. The system supports macOS, Windows, Linux and iOS, with Android to follow.
Unlike many workplace automation tools, Grok Bot works through normal software interfaces instead of dedicated APIs, allowing agents to sign into websites and applications much like human users. SpaceXAI said it has tested the agents internally across engineering, marketing and growth, including overnight sales research, expense receipt collection and bug fixes.
The beta starts with SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers. Enterprise customers can join a waitlist.

Grok Bot Rivals
The launch puts Grok Bot into the same workplace-agent market targeted by OpenAI and Anthropic, while Cursor had already been developing a general-purpose office agent under the codename Sand. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman also discussed agents coordinating with one another during a meeting with U.S. lawmakers in July.
Security remains a practical concern because Grok Bot can use credentials and act inside software without waiting for a person at every step.
Cursor previously faced scrutiny after its Grok Build tool was found uploading entire Git repositories, including committed secrets, showing how broader autonomy can also widen the consequences of weak safeguards.
Grok Bot also reflects the closer integration of SpaceXAI and Cursor after SpaceX's $60 billion all-stock agreement in June to acquire Anysphere, whose coding tools already run inside much of the Fortune 500.
SpaceXAI released its first coding agent in May and followed with Grok 4.5 in July, while Elon Musk said last week that Grok 4.6 could arrive within days.
