Bybit EU, the Vienna-based European division of cryptocurrency exchange Bybit, has signed a three-year title partnership with the Stockholm Open tennis tournament, which will compete under the name Bybit Stockholm Open from 2026 through 2028 as the event reverts to its original branding after several years as the Nordic Open.
What Happened: Crypto Exchange Sponsors Tennis
The agreement gives Bybit EU naming rights to the ATP Tour event, which was founded in 1969 by former world-class player Sven Davidson and is held annually in October at the Royal Tennis Hall in Stockholm. The tournament draws roughly 30,000 spectators each year.
Gustav Buder, Regional Partner Nordics at Bybit EU, said the tournament's credibility and audience made it a fit for the company's expansion plans. "The partnership represents an important step in establishing trust and a durable presence in the Nordic market," he said.
Bybit EU, which holds a license under the European Union's MiCAR regulatory framework, plans to launch services in the Nordic region in 2026.
The company is part of the Bybit Group, which reports more than 80 million users globally.

Why It Matters: Crypto Enters Sports
Rasmus Hult, CEO of Bybit Stockholm Open, said the tournament has a long history of working with financial-sector partners and views Bybit as a match for its ambitions. "Jointly reclaiming the tournament's classic name clearly reflects its home and heritage," he said.
The deal also includes access for Bybit's premium clients through its VIP program, with curated hospitality during the event. Bybit EU sees the Nordic region as a key market, and the sponsorship provides a visible entry point ahead of its planned regional launch.
