XRP (XRP) fell below $1 after a 635-day run above the level even as XRP Ledger adoption hit records, with $4.06 billion in real-world assets.

Key Points:

  • XRP first fell below $1 on Aug. 11, ending 635 consecutive days above the level.
  • XRP Ledger real-world assets reached about $4.06 billion after adding roughly $2.5 billion over six months.
  • Institutional settlement activity can bypass XRP, weakening the case that ledger adoption automatically creates demand for the token.

XRP Price Break

XRP first slipped under $1 on Aug. 11, printing $0.9915 and ending 635 consecutive days above the psychological threshold, its first breach since November 2024. The level remains under pressure.

Buyers would need to reclaim $1.03 to improve the short-term structure, while analysts see $0.70 to $0.90 as the next support after XRP briefly traded below Ripple’s RLUSD (RLUSD) stablecoin.

SoSoValue data showed U.S. spot XRP products drew $3.27 million in August through the report date, roughly 88% below the $27.29 million recorded in July. Price support has not followed adoption.

Adoption Divide

The bullish case rests on network use: Aviva Investors, which manages $351 billion, launched a tokenized fund on the XRP Ledger, while real-world assets there reached about $4.06 billion after adding roughly $2.5 billion in six months.

Lark Davis said “the token network relationship is genuinely unresolved,” a dispute sharpened by a monthly RSI reading at its most extreme level in 12 years. Santiment also recorded 32 new wallets holding at least 1 million XRP over three months.

Yet Ripple completed 10 major institutional deals in 2026 using RLUSD rather than XRP, while Standard Chartered targets $2.80 and analyst Ali Martinez sees downside toward $0.62.

After XRP’s 2018 peak, the token lost 95% over the following two years, and it now trades about 72.5% below its July 2025 record. Those swings frame the current $1 test.
