XRP (XRP)’s spot trading volume reached its highest level since February in August, while the token climbed toward $1.45 as activity returned across the broader crypto market.

Key Points:

  • XRP spot trading volume reached its highest level since February, led by $7.28 billion in August activity on Binance.
  • The token traded near $1.45 after a sharp daily rebound as the broader crypto market moved higher.
  • XRP is up about 36% over the month but remains roughly 60% below its Jul. 2025 all-time high.

XRP Spot Volume

XRP spot trading volume reached a six-month high in August, according to data shared by CryptoQuant contributor Arab Chain, with several major exchanges recording stronger activity. Binance dominated the market, processing about $7.28 billion in XRP spot trades during the month.

Upbit followed with roughly $4.68 billion, while Bithumb Korea handled close to $2.59 billion. Bybit recorded about $1.40 billion, Gate.io $1.33 billion and KuCoin $1.23 billion, while Bitget and Coinbase each remained below $1 billion at $918.5 million and $915.4 million, respectively.

Higher trading volume does not indicate whether XRP will move higher or lower next. It does, however, show that more buyers and sellers are active, increasing liquidity and potentially helping the market absorb larger orders and sharper price moves if activity remains elevated. The liquidity improvement is the main takeaway.

Bitcoin (BTC) Rebound

XRP was trading around $1.45 at the time of the report, up more than 6% over 24 hours, according to CoinGecko. It traded between $1.35 and $1.48 during that period, while its seven-day range ran from $1.31 to $1.48.

The rebound came as Bitcoin moved above $80,000 for the first time in a week after briefly falling near $76,200 amid Middle East tensions. XRP was among the stronger large-cap performers, gaining about 9% on the day and clearing $1.40, while Ethereum (ETH) rose toward $2,500 and BNB (BNB) moved above $720.

Despite the sudden advance, XRP’s weekly gain stood at only about 1.4%, showing that much of the move was concentrated in a short period rather than a steady rise. The latest jump was unusually compressed.

XRP has gained about 36% over the past month, but it remains roughly 49% below its level a year ago and about 60% under its $3.65 all-time high from Jul. 2025. That gap shows how sharply XRP has recovered recently while still trading well below last year’s peak.
