Revolut will open its first branded airport lounge at Copenhagen Airport in 2027, pushing the fintech beyond the phone screen it built its business on.

Revolut Lounge Anchors Copenhagen Airport Debut
The company has signed an agreement with the Danish hub to develop what it calls the Revolut Lounge, and it wants the format copied across priority European markets afterward. Plaza Premium Group, whose lounge brand has won Skytrax's award for the world's best independent airport lounge every year since 2016, will act as operating and investment partner. Revolut says the site will be the airport's newest flagship lounge.
Hadi Nasrallah, who directs product and the company's New Bets unit, said lounges tend to underwhelm travelers and promised a space that is, in his words, gutsy and beautiful.
He called Copenhagen a perfect fit and pointed to the Nordics, where Revolut counts more than two million customers and expects to pass three million by the end of 2026.
The choice was not random. Revolut picked the city for its design reputation and its single-terminal layout, which funnels every departing passenger through one concourse rather than scattering them across satellites. The company expects roughly 500,000 Danish customers by the time the doors open.

Plaza Premium Partnership Targets Subscription Revenue
Premium and Metal subscribers can already buy passes to more than 1,000 lounges through the app, so the Copenhagen site extends an existing benefit rather than inventing one. Owning the room instead of reselling access changes who controls the design, the food and the tone of a traveler's last hour before boarding.
Subscriptions are the fastest-growing part of the business. Revenue from that segment climbed 67% to 708 million pounds last year, and group revenue rose 46% to 4.2 billion pounds over the same period. The fintech now serves more than 75 million customers worldwide.
Bora Isbulan, deputy chief executive at Plaza Premium, said the partnership should set a new benchmark for premium travel hospitality across major international hubs. Peter Krogsgaard, chief commercial officer at Copenhagen Airport, said the lounge adds another offering for passengers who expect comfort and service.
Revolut Physical Push Follows Barcelona Store
The lounge caps a busy year off the app.
Revolut unveiled plans for its first physical store in Barcelona earlier this year, describing it as an immersive space rather than a branch, and it has since added mobile plans and travel booking.
A secondary share sale valued the company at $115 billion in July, up from $75 billion last November, after it secured a full UK banking licence in March.
