Solana (SOL) processed a record 4.2 billion transactions in July as SOL rallied 40%, while tokenized real-world assets approached $4 billion.

Key Points:

  • July transaction volume reached a record 4.2 billion, up 13.5% from June.
  • SOL gained about 40% in eight days during a broader crypto market rebound.
  • Tokenized real-world assets on Solana approached $4 billion as network use accelerated.

Solana Transaction Record

The Kobeissi Letter reported Tuesday that Solana handled 4.2 billion onchain transactions in July, the highest monthly total on record. That was 13.5% above June.

Transaction counts have increased by roughly 2 billion since December, a 91% rise that shows the activity jump began well before the latest price move. RWA.xyz data cited by Kobeissi also put distributed real-world assets across tracked networks above $38 billion.

SOL gained roughly 40% in eight days and moved above $100 for the first time since February, according to CoinMarketCap data cited in the report. The advance came during a broader crypto recovery that strengthened after the U.S. Treasury Department announced larger long-dated bond buybacks on Aug. 19.

The Treasury said it would at least double those operations from $2 billion to $4 billion per transaction beginning Sept. 9. Long-term yields fell after the announcement, helping improve risk appetite across financial markets.

Kobeissi RWA View

The Kobeissi Letter linked part of Solana's transaction growth to expanding tokenized assets and said onchain trading activity had returned to record levels. That combination is significant because the network is seeing stronger usage while SOL prices recover, rather than price gains occurring without a matching increase in activity.

Tokenized real-world assets on Solana were valued near $4 billion, about 11.8% higher over the previous month. The growth gives the network another source of activity beyond conventional crypto trading as issuers move financial assets onto public blockchains.

Solana's July ecosystem review put its RWA value at $3.73 billion near the end of that month, while August data later showed the total crossing $4 billion. Transaction volume has also nearly doubled from roughly 2.2 billion in December, showing both measures were already climbing before SOL's latest eight-day rally.
