Ethereum (ETH) now hosts over $22.5 billion in tokenized treasury products, commanding nearly 72% of the market across all blockchains as Wall Street giants deepen their on-chain presence.

Ethereum Tokenized Treasury Growth

The figures were highlighted in a recent post by Etherealize, a project focused on Ethereum institutional adoption. The network's dominance in tokenized fund assets has accelerated through early 2026.

JPMorgan Chase launched its MONY market fund on Ethereum earlier this year. The product joins BlackRock's BUIDL fund and Franklin Templeton's on-chain money market offering, both already operational on the network.

Etherealize argued these instruments serve a specific emerging use case: autonomous agents managing idle capital on permissionless infrastructure without needing a brokerage account.

An agent holding a $500,000 treasury would require a stable money market fund with predictable yield, deep liquidity, minimal smart contract risk and no centralized counterparty capable of freezing its assets — conditions the Ethereum DeFi ecosystem is increasingly built to meet.

Marc Baumann on Institutional DeFi

Marc Baumann, founder of fiftyonexyz, pointed to Broadridge Financial Solutions as evidence that institutional DeFi has moved past the experimental stage. Broadridge already processes more than $8 trillion per month in tokenized repo settlements and has enabled real on-chain governance for tokenized equity.

Galaxy Digital is now serving as the staking provider for BlackRock's ETHB staked Ethereum ETF, tying institutional capital directly into blockchain infrastructure. Together, these firms are involved in facilitating the first on-chain shareholder vote for tokenized equity.
