Presearch Launches Decentralized NSFW Search to Counter Big Tech’s Growing Censorship

Privacy-focused search engine Presearch has launched a new “Spicy Mode” that lets users discover and filter OnlyFans creators directly through its decentralized platform, a move that challenges the tightening grip of big tech and regulators on adult content visibility.

The update expands Presearch’s NSFW discovery tools, allowing users to browse and filter creator profiles by subscription price, region, likes, and free trial status — functionality not available within OnlyFans itself.

The company said the feature aims to give adult creators greater visibility while preserving privacy for users through a non-profiling, decentralized search index.

The launch comes amid a broader wave of online restrictions targeting adult content.

Governments in Europe and the U.S. have introduced age-verification laws and platform bans, while major app stores and advertising networks have increasingly restricted adult-oriented material.

“As censorship intensifies, creators are losing access and visibility online,” said Tim Enneking, CEO of Presearch. “Presearch is taking a stand with Spicy Mode and restoring access and dignity for creators who’ve been pushed to the margins.”

Within Spicy Mode, adult-oriented brands can advertise through Presearch’s “Takeover Advertising” system, which replaces traditional targeted ads with tracker-free, wallpaper-style promotions. Early adopters include platforms such as Lovense, Stripchat, OnlyFinder, and Creatr.uk.

The feature is powered by Presearch’s decentralized node infrastructure and “Frontier Index,” a model the company says surfaces human-first and underrepresented content that commercial search engines and AI tools often overlook.

Analysts say the move reflects a growing intersection between decentralization and digital censorship, as alternative networks emerge to challenge platform-level restrictions.

Presearch serves roughly 12 million searches per month and rewards users in PRE tokens for each search conducted.
