"Investors don't want separate platforms for crypto and traditional finance, they want frictionless access to opportunities across both," said Gracy Chen, chief executive of Bitget. She said current trading volumes show where the market is heading.
TokenInsight described TradFi perpetuals as a strategically important area of competition, with exchanges moving into tokenized stocks and IPO products.
Monthly TradFi perpetual volume across exchanges climbed from $52 billion in January to $268 billion in June, the report found.
Total crypto exchange volume slipped to $16.5 trillion in the second quarter. Spot activity recovered to $4.5 trillion from $3.3 trillion as Bitcoin (BTC) repeatedly tested support near $60,000.
