Securitize on Thursday launched regulated trading of 12 tokenized U.S. stocks, including Apple, Nvidia and Tesla, on the Solana (SOL) blockchain for eligible U.S. and European investors.
Key Points:
- Securitize Stocks covers 12 U.S. companies, with each token backed one-for-one by an underlying share.
- Trading runs on Solana through the firm's registered broker-dealer and settles in USDC.
- Planned NYSE and OKXICE venues are expected to list the tokens, but neither has launched.
Securitize Stocks On Solana
The Miami-based tokenization company said its new product, Securitize Stocks, also covers Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, Netflix, Circle, Strategy, Palantir and SpaceX.
Trading runs through the company's registered broker-dealer platform on Solana, with transactions settling in the stablecoin USDC (USDC) and Jump Trading serving as market maker. Each token is backed one-for-one by an underlying share.
Access is limited to eligible investors in the U.S., the European Union and other permitted jurisdictions, and buyers must clear onboarding, identity and anti-money-laundering checks. Trading starts in extended market hours, and the company has set no date for the 24/7 access it plans.

Domingo On Shareholder Rights
The tokens represent security entitlements under Article 8 of the Uniform Commercial Code, which governs investment securities, a structure the company said preserves applicable dividends and voting rights. The backing shares will not be lent out. Holders are not registered shareholders of the underlying companies unless they convert, an option that opens only when an issuer adopts tokenization through Securitize's transfer agent partners.
Tokenized stocks now top $3 billion in onchain value, RWA.xyz data show.
Carlos Domingo, chairman and CEO of Securitize, said tokenized stocks should give investors "more than a price on a wrapper that tracks a stock and is only offered offshore." The company said its tokens differ from products that only track share prices, and stock tokens sold abroad seldom carry the rights, disclosures and protections attached to ordinary shares. Nick Ducoff, general manager of institutional at the Solana Foundation, said tokenized equities open investments to people around the world "at internet scale."
NYSE, OKXICE Venue Plans
Securitize expects the tokens to trade later on the New York Stock Exchange's planned 24/7 digital venue and on a venue from OKXICE, a joint venture of OKX and NYSE parent Intercontinental Exchange. Neither venue has launched, and both listings depend on regulatory approval.
Securitize signed a preliminary agreement with the NYSE in March to help build that platform. The company began trading on the exchange as SECZ on July 2 after a merger with a Cantor Fitzgerald-backed blank-check firm, tokenizing its own shares on Solana and Avalanche (AVAX) that day. The Securities and Exchange Commission followed on Sept. 17 with an innovation exemption that opened a path for tokenized securities trading venues, and OKXICE notified the agency of its plans this week.
