Michael Saylor Reveals He Owns $1 Billion in BTC: "I Haven't Sold Any Bitcoin"

Michael Saylor, MicroStrategy's exec chairman, has spilled the beans on his personal Bitcoin holdings. It's a whopping 17,732 BTC, worth about $1 billion.

In a Bloomberg interview, Saylor didn't mince words. "I haven't sold any bitcoin," he said. He's still buying more.

Saylor sees Bitcoin as a top-notch investment. He reckons it's great for individuals, families, institutions, corporations, and even countries.

"I can't see a better place to put my money," Saylor added.

He called Bitcoin "the apex property of the United States". This comes amid recent political shifts.

U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis has proposed a U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. The plan? To grab up to 1 million BTC over time.

Former President Donald Trump is also on board. At the Bitcoin 2024 Conference in Nashville, he advised, "Never sell your Bitcoin."

Saylor noted a sea change in political views. "Every politician in the world has started to realize that Bitcoin is the most desirable property in cyberspace," he said.

He sees Bitcoin as the future. No doubt about it.

Saylor's parting shot? Don't waste Bitcoin on coffee or ice cream. It's "the most desirable property in the universe," he reckons.

Hold it for the long haul, that's his advice.
