Polymarket (POLY) saw its average daily trading volume triple to $153 million after integrating Chainlink (LINK) data feeds into its short-duration crypto markets.
Chainlink Integration Drives Volume Surge
The prediction platform began using Chainlink's oracle network to power live pricing in its five-minute and 15-minute crypto markets. The results were immediate.
Chainlink said in an Apr. 8 post that Polymarket's short-term markets had surpassed $4 billion in total volume. The five-minute products alone generated more than $200 million in their first week of trading.
Before the integration, daily volume sat at roughly one-third of the current level.
Chainlink's data feeds now settle outcomes against real-time prices rather than delayed ones, which the platform says has improved both speed and reliability.

Why Oracle Data Matters for Polymarket
The shift to oracle-powered pricing appears to have drawn a wider range of participants. Both retail and institutional traders have entered the faster markets, according to the report, and the added activity has deepened liquidity.
For markets that settle every few minutes, stale data is a direct threat to credibility.
Chainlink's role is narrow but critical — it supplies external price information so each contract resolves against an accurate, tamper-resistant feed.
Still, the report does not isolate how much of the growth came from the integration itself versus new users or rising interest in short-term crypto betting. The numbers are presented as a before-and-after comparison without a detailed breakdown.
Polymarket's Rapid Growth in Context
Polymarket has expanded aggressively since mid-2024, when it gained mainstream attention through its U.S. presidential election markets. The platform has since pushed into shorter-duration products, betting that faster settlement times will keep traders engaged. The Chainlink integration marks its latest infrastructure upgrade aimed at supporting that higher pace of activity.
