Cardano (ADA) rose 20% in seven days as whale buying and surging futures activity revived attention in a weak crypto market, although a break above $0.2305 remains unconfirmed.
Key Points:
- ADA gained 20% over one week and traded near $0.193 after falling below $0.14 in June.
- Whales bought more than 240 million tokens, while weekly futures volume rose 380% to $650 million.
- Analysts identified $0.2305 as the level that could end the long downtrend and strengthen the bullish case.
Cardano Price Rally
ADA traded near $0.193 on Aug. 5 after rebounding from below $0.14 in June, its lowest price since 2020. The move broke from broader market weakness.
The report linked part of the rebound to renewed whale demand, with large holders buying more than 240 million ADA tokens in less than one week as the price began recovering.
That accumulation preceded the latest advance.
Analyst JAVON MARKS compared the current structure with ADA’s 2020-2021 pattern and set a $2.90 target, arguing that the earlier setup preceded a much larger price expansion, though the comparison does not guarantee a repeat.

ADA Trading Signals
Other analysts focused on nearer technical levels, with Sssebi saying ADA was close to crossing its 20-week moving average after becoming heavily oversold, while CW identified $0.2305 as the resistance that could end the prolonged downtrend.
On-chain data added a mixed signal because Santiment found that Cardano’s price rose while the number of non-empty wallets declined, suggesting stronger buyers were absorbing supply before sidelined holders returned. Retail participation has not fully recovered.
Trader activity has nevertheless accelerated, as Martinez said weekly ADA futures volume climbed 380%, from $150 million to $650 million, signaling a sharp increase in participation that could raise short-term volatility.
ADA remains well above June’s sub-$0.14 low, but it still trades below the $0.2305 level that analysts say would confirm a break from the downtrend after months of weakness. That threshold now defines the recovery.
