World Liberty Financial (WLFI) approved a governance measure establishing a $5.3 million threshold for institutional investors seeking direct access to its executive team.
The decentralized finance platform, backed by the Trump family, now requires participants to lock up 50 million WLFI tokens for 180 days to attain super node status.
This structural change advanced last week following a comprehensive governance vote that was overwhelmingly backed by 99% of participating token holders. The implemented tier system effectively monetizes corporate access within the underlying protocol, explicitly prioritizing highly capitalized entities over everyday retail participants.
Securing the necessary 50 million tokens to reach this tier currently costs investors approximately $5.3 million based on recent market pricing data.
Multi-Tiered Staking Mechanics
The super node classification legally grants investors guaranteed meetings with World Liberty Financial's internal business development personnel to discuss potential strategic partnerships.
However, official platform spokespeople recently confirmed this paid access explicitly excludes the project's high-profile co-founders, specifically omitting members of the Trump family.
Below the exclusive top tier, users can allocate 10 million WLFI tokens, worth roughly $1.06 million, to secure the standard node status.
This secondary level permits participants to exchange the project's USD1 stablecoin for alternative stablecoins at par value via over-the-counter transactions. The protocol now dictates that stakers must vote in at least two governance initiatives to generate a 2% annual yield.

Expanding Regulatory Scrutiny
These structural modifications arrive exactly as the decentralized project faces mounting governmental inquiries from lawmakers regarding its broader international financial operations. Representative Ro Khanna recently launched an investigation examining a $500 million investment into World Liberty Financial by a United Arab Emirates royal family member.
Khanna questioned whether that massive capital injection influenced the Trump administration's decision to authorize specific AI chip export licenses to the UAE.
Furthermore, Senator Elizabeth Warren has intensely scrutinized the cryptocurrency platform's ongoing legal efforts to formally secure a traditional national banking charter. During recent statements, she characterized the entire financial operation as a profound presidential corruption vulnerability directly linked to American national security.
Separately, the entirely unaffiliated TRUMP meme coin project recently promised its top token holders an exclusive private dinner at the Mar-a-Lago estate.
