Bitget now lets users move more than 3,000 eligible U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs from traditional brokerage accounts onto the crypto exchange as tokenized assets called rTokens.

Bitget Stock Tokenization

The exchange launched the rToken Stock Transfer feature on Tuesday. Users send shares from an outside broker to Bitget's Alpaca omnibus account, and the exchange then credits matching rTokens to their spot accounts in about 10 business days. Transfers in are free, but moving assets out carries a fee.

To mark the launch, Bitget is splitting $1 million in rSPCX, a tokenized SpaceX stock, among eligible users on a first-come, first-served basis. A first transfer of $5,000 earns $200 in rSPCX, while $20,000 and $50,000 transfers earn $800 and $2,000, along with 14-day trading fee rebate vouchers worth $50 and $150.

rToken RWA Strategy

Bitget calls the feature an early step toward linking traditional assets with its crypto business. CEO Gracy Chen said tokenization has already widened access to those assets, but "the next step is making those assets more useful." Eligible rTokens work in spot trading, margin, borrowing, lending and yield products, and Chen said they may eventually serve as collateral.

Bitget issues rTokens through Reality, its real-world asset platform. By Jul. 6, rToken assets under management had reached about $114 million and cumulative transactions had passed two million, according to Bitget.
