Bitget is moving its tokenized stock business toward institutional trading, pairing a new broker transfer service with a liquidity engine meant to deepen markets for its rTokens.

Bitget rToken Transfer

The exchange said Wednesday that rToken Transfer, set for an Oct. 13 launch, lets users move eligible U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs from outside brokers onto its platform without selling them first. More than 3,000 assets qualify.

To start, users request a Free of Payment transfer from their external broker to a designated Bitget omnibus account at Alpaca. Bitget's In-Kind Tokenization Network converts the securities into matching rTokens and credits them to the user's spot account. After that, holders can use supported rTokens for spot trading and, where available, borrowing, lending and margin-related functions.

Super Match

"The next phase of tokenization will be defined by the infrastructure that allows assets and liquidity to move across markets," said Gracy Chen, Bitget's CEO. Super Match is the second piece. The engine links Bitget's internal trading flows and market makers with several price sources, though the company said actual liquidity and pricing will depend on market conditions and supported assets.

By Jul. 6, rToken assets under management had reached about $114 million and cumulative transactions had passed 2 million, according to Bitget. Bitget issues the tokens through Reality, its real-world asset platform.
