TRUMP Meme Coin Spikes 5% On President's Unverified Health Reports, But Quickly Reverses

The Official TRUMP (TRUMP) meme coin surged nearly 5% on Saturday after unverified rumors about President Donald Trump's health spread across social media, though the token reversed course and started declining by mid-Sunday.

TRUMP Health Rumors

The rally followed a wave of speculation that began after Trump canceled his public appearances over the Easter weekend. An old video from the 2024 assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, resurfaced online, while correspondents posted images of a Marine sentry stationed at the West Wing entrance.

Rumors then circulated that Trump had been rushed to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center following a medical emergency. Presidential spokesman Steven Cheung quickly denied the reports.

"There has never been a president who has worked harder for the American people than President Trump. This Easter weekend, he worked nonstop at the White House and the Oval Office. God bless him," Cheung said.

According to available information, Trump remained in Washington and worked from the White House and the Oval Office. He made no trips to his golf course or Walter Reed.

TRUMP Meme Coin Price

Despite the denials, TRUMP saw both price and trading volume climb over 24 hours. The token gained roughly 5% in the immediate aftermath of the rumors on Saturday.

By Sunday, however, the rally faded. TRUMP was trading at $2.85, up just 0.5% before it began losing ground in mid-afternoon. Other Trump-themed meme coins also saw brief spikes.

The token remains 96% below its all-time high of $73.43, set in Jan. 2025.
